Our research activity is based on CFD simulations of fire flows under both normal gravity and reduced gravity conditions, with a focus on:
- Modelling of turbulent combustion
- Modelling of heat transfer (radiation and convection)
- Pyrolysis modelling
- Flame spread over surfaces
- Enclosure fire dynamics
- Smoke dynamics
This work aims to better understand the fundamental physical phenomena governing fire development and propagation in complex environments.
